More Against "Orbs" 12/4/06
***This page
will take while to load up. There are video clips,
Now the big thing is, "We have video of an orb traveling against the wind of a fan! This proves that orbs are not dust, and they do exsist!!!"... Ok...Unless you're in the vacuum of outer space, air has to circulate, and a fan or an air conditioner helps to accelerate that flow of air. Again...assuming and getting excited without testing, or having the knowledge to do any actual testing. Air has to flow...like water, it will churn against objects, swirl around until it finds its direction of current, then go along it's merry way. (prove it Ken) Alrighty...a little effort is all it takes...plus an old 20 gallon aquarium I had laying around. I made a small fan out of pieces-parts I had laying around, to try to get as close to actual room proportions and scale as possible, within the aquarium.
This will show you what I'm talking about. I placed the fan and a lit cigarette into the aquarium, and covered the aquarium with a piece of plexiglass. After letting the smoke build up a bit, I turned on the fan. VOILA!...the smoke whooshed toward the fan, because it had to follow the path of the air current in an enclosed space, such as a room on a larger scale. Watch closely now...
This will also occur with any airborne particles in the air as well. Smoke molecules are in essence heavier than dust particles, therefore DUST will follow the same air currents. Dust is everywhere gang, face it, you just can't get away from it. This angle is what your video camera is seeing...if positioned "against the fan, so dust wouldn't show up."
See what I mean? Does this look familiar? Ok, here's what's going on here...
Do we understand now?...Yes, dust can, will, and does travel in the direction of a fan or air conditioner. How do you think the fan or furnace and A/C filters get so dirty? Lets go over it AGAIN about *Night-Shot*, and the properties of the IR Beam on your video camera. The IR Beam has a limited range that WILL reflect off of dust particles. This range is between a few inches from the camera, to about two feet away. Beyond that, the miniscule size of the dust particle is no longer visible to the camera. The appearance of "orbs" only appears within the field of the IR Beam. Some of you may use an IR Booster Unit, (as i do too)...This only makes the dust "orb" appear farther away, but its still only within a few a feet of the camera. Again, the camera will see it, but your naked eyes won't in the dark...That's why people get excited when this occurs because, "they didn't see it so that means *Night-Shot* makes ghosts appear". Uuummmm....No. Don't be THAT gullible. As mentioned in the "Dust Elimination" article, attaching a small RED LED flashlight to your video camera either with velcro, tape, gum, whatever...will eliminate the appearance of dust "orbs" to nearly nil. Lets talk bugs now. An "amazing video" of about 5 minutes was brought to my attention recently. It showed an "orb" floating around a basement going this way and that. It would circle in one area, then disappear, and would reappear suddenly. The (*ahem*) "ghost hunters" were in total awe of this phenomenal footage of paranormal activity. Well...if they would have just turned on a flashlight, they would've actually SEEN the little moth flying around with their naked eyes. ("but you just said the IR Beam only has a limited range!") True...for particles as tiny as dust, however bugs are larger than dust. They have a larger surface area to reflect the beam, so they will show up at a greater distance, beyond the range of dust, up to 15 feet. Do the experiments for yourself gang, you'll see it all right before your eyes. This is called LEARNING Setting up the fish tank demonstration only took a couple hours of my day to complete. That includes going to the store to buy paper to line the tank with and build the fan. Whats "Rule No.3"?....Say it with me... "If you can re-create a certain phenomena...it isn't one." If you don't want to take the time, or are incapable of going that extra mile to find the REAL answers, and just want to placate your egos by claiming you have unwarranted "evidence", then you really don't have what it takes to be a paranormal researcher. Please, do the rest of us a favor, and find another "hobby"...You're only getting in the way and slowing down those that are trying to actually accomplish something...Thank you.
